MONKEY
A monkey is any cercopithecoid (old world monkey ) or platyrrhine ( new world monkey) primate. All primates that are not prosimians or apes are monkeys. The 264 known extant monkey species represent two of the three groupings of simian primates. Monkeys are usually smaller and or longer-tailed than apes.
The New World monkeys are classified within the parvorder Platyrrhini, whereas the Old World monkeys form part of the parvorder Catarrhini, which also includes the apes. Due to its size (up to 1 m/3 ft) the Mandrill is often thought to be an ape, but it is actually an Old World monkey. Also, a few monkey species have the word "ape" in their common name.

FESTIVAL MUSIM SEMI PRANCIS 2009
Lima tahun sudah sejak penyelenggaraannya, Festival Musim Semi Prancis di Surabaya menjadi perhelatan akbar dalam kehidupan seni budaya di kota terbesar kedua di Indonesia dan menumbuhkan rasa antusiasme yang besar bahkan menciptakan kolaborasi bersama.
Pada 14 April hingga 14 Juli akan menjadi kesempatan baru dalam perayaan ini. Musim yang lebih semarak dengan keragaman, percampuran dan modernitas yang terus ditampilkan.
Berikut perjalanan Festival ini:
1. Dimulai dengan permainan musik bersama DUO YKEDA yang tersohor
2. FESTIVAL SINEMA PRANCIS dengan 1000 penonton tahun lalu yang akan kembali memenuhi ruangan.
3. VINCENT GAPAILLARD dialah fotografer yang akan membawa kita menguak dunia fantastis.
4. Kelompok ACCRORAP dengan cerita rakyat Prancisnya melalui tarian puitis.
5. DENIS BRUN, seniman dengan segudang talentanya datang membaur bersama seniman-seniman Surabaya dengan menyuguhkan sajian seni plastik orisinil.
6. Perpaduan nada dari CHINESE MAN akan menggali aspek-aspek lain dari yang belum dikenal luas oleh Indonesia.
7. Pagelaran PESTA MUSIK seDUNIA dengan festival seputar SENI KULINER PRANCIS di beberapa tempat di Surabaya.
8. Malam istimewa akan digelar dalam rangka peringatan HARI NASIONAL PRANCIS.
Festival ini bermaksud mempersembahkan kepada publik Surabaya sebuah panorama luas mengenai aktualits seni Prancis dalam bidang seni pertunjukan, seni visual dan sinema, bekerjasama dengan Festival dan instusi-instusi utama di Surabaya.
